We Will Remember Them
We look at some amazing Lego designs created to honour all soldiers who fell in WW1.
COMMEMORATIVE POPPIES BY JUSTIN RAMSDEN:
Having several family members fight in both the First and Second World Wars, Remembrance Day plays a huge part in Justin Ramsden's family. In 2014 he designed and created 100 limited edition poppy pin badges to commemorate the beginning of the First World War. The proceeds of these wonderful Lego badges were divided between The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM BY NICK SWEETMAN:
Many will remember the iconic images of The Tower of London's Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red installation back in 2014. Here, Nick recreated this amazing image using Lego bricks.
REMEMBRANCE 2015 BY LUC BYARD:
A striking moc by artist, Luc Byard, who made this wonderful framed Lego poppy. The colours are perfectly chosen. The creation is made even more poignant when seen in the hands of soldier Barry Hampton of the Royal British Legion, Pontefract and Ackworth branch.
TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER BY DEBORAH HIGDON:
This Lego piece by Deborah Higdon commemorates the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa.
